Activate the willing rather than convert the
resistant; use money only as an on-ramp and shift
quickly to belonging, which does not crowd out or
run out, and compete institutions rather than
individuals, because that is how this society
already organises pride. The four mechanisms are
the operational form of these three wellsupported assumptions about how people actually
